Gama jednostek napędowych będzie składać się z dwóch silników benzynowych (1.6 THP 155 KM i 1.6 THP 200 KM) i dwóch wysokoprężnych (1.6 e-HDi 110 KM i 2.0 HDi 160 KM). Dostępna będzie również odmiana hybrydowa 2.0 HDi Hybrid4 o mocy 200 KM i napędem na cztery koła.
Do wyboru będą trzy wersje wyposażenia: Chic, So Chic i Sport Chic. W standardzie Citroen DS5 znajdą się m.in.: ESP i system kontroli trakcji, wspomaganie ruszania na wzniesieniu, przednie, boczne i kurtynowe poduszki powietrzne, dwustrefowa klimatyzacja automatyczna, 17-calowe felgi aluminiowe (w 1.6 HDi 16-calowe obręcze), tempomat, system bezkluczykowy, automatyczne światła i wycieraczki, LED-owe światła do jazdy dziennej, reflektory przeciwmgielne, radio CD/MP3 z portem USB, komputer pokładowy, elektrycznie sterowane szyby i lusterka boczne (podgrzewane), wewnętrzne lusterko fotochromatyczne.
